Defective Tail Light Leads to Drug Arrest in Freeport

ImageDetectives reported an arrest for criminal sale of a controlled substance in Freeport at 3:00 p.m. on June 11.

Detectives allege that Kerri A. Creegan, 33 of 145 Maple Avenue, Rockville Center, was driving southbound on Babylon Turnpike when she was pulled over by police because of a defective taillight. During the traffic stop, according to police, they discovered she was in possession of a glassine bag containing heroine. She was arrested at the scene without incident.

Keegan was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. She will be arraigned on Monday, June 23, at the First District Court in Hempstead.
