Burglary at Ralph’s Ices in Miller Place, $2000 Stolen

Detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, in Miller Place.

Ralph's Ices burglar 1According to police, a man used a key to unlock the door at Ralph’s Italian Ices, located at 745 Route 25A at approximately 11:30 p.m. on June 18 and allegedly stole approximately $2000 in cash. The suspect seemed familiar with the layout of the business and the location of the money. The suspect, who was described as white, with a husky build, was wearing glasses, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and a white shirt underneath, and jeans with a hole on the right rear side, near the pocket. Additionally the suspect wore dark sneakers and dark gloves.

Detectives request that anyone with information on this case call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5000 for information that leads to an arrest. All calls will be kept confidential.
