Burger King plans to get rid of its Satisfries, the Home of the Whopper’s healthier version of French fries, in most of its locations. The fast food chain, which recently began serving burgers for breakfast at many of its locations, has already debuted its new Chicken Fries.
McDonald’s reported lower sales after introducing its diet menu — apple slices, yogurt and smaller Happy Meals. While Burger King didn’t experience a drop in sales from their diet fries attempt, they didn’t experience much of an increase either. So, it was left up to individual franchisees to decide whether or not to continue selling Satisfries.
Only 2,500 of nearly 7,400 Burger King restaurants agreed to continue serving them.
