Book A Flight At Bootleg Canyon

A ziplining experience like no other in Boulder City, Nevada

You can zipline through the rainforest, across the entire length of a cruise ship and even fly across Fremont Street via SlotZilla zipline. But have you ever flown across a canyon with nothing between you but a hook and some industrial cables? Adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiasts take note: Flightlinez Bootleg Canyon is a bucket list must.

“As a conservation-based company, Flightlinez was designed as a no-trace trail system to experience views from a bird’s eye perspective,” said Brina Marcus, who serves as the general manager of Flightlinez, which has been in operation since 2008. “The manual zipline system encompasses four separate runs covering more than 1.5 miles of the Mojave Desert.”

Located just 30 minutes from the Las Vegas strip, Flightlinez is open 364 days a year, save for New Year’s Day. With two to three tours a day on a four-line course, it’s quite a bit of exercise for guides like Bryce, Saxon and Evan, who conduct a safety demonstration, drive up the canyon in a bus, and hike the remainder of the way laden down with ropes and gear. While there are no age restrictions (the youngest flyer being 7 and the oldest 92 years old), the crew has found that weight restrictions limit children.

But there is something about flying across a canyon that makes you say, “If I don’t do this now, where else will I get the chance?” In case you’re still having second thoughts, know that you are in the best hands.

“The training process to become a part of the Flightlinez crew is around one month, pending weather issues,” said Marcus. “First all crew are put through a ‘try out’ to confirm they have what it takes to become a guide and then they learn the rest of the operations.”

Three different tours are offered to guests: a daytime tour (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.), a sunset tour (5 p.m.) or a moonlight tour (8 p.m.). On your next trip to Las Vegas, consider Flightlinez Bootleg Canyon for a fun day in the desert. It’s an experience unlike any other.

Flightlinez is located at 1644 Boulder City Pkwy, Boulder City, NV 89005. For more information or to book your flight, call 702-293-6885 or visit www.flightlinezbootleg.com.
