Bank of America Robbery in Plainview


Detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at 3:30 p.m. on July 1 in Plainview.

On the afternoon of July 1, a black male, in his twenties, described as 5’8”and of medium build, with skin bumps on his face, entered the Bank of America at 565 South Oyster Bay Road wearing a black baseball cap with a white visor, a blue short-sleeved tee shirt with “True Religion” written on the back in white letters, blue jeans and dark-colored shoes. He covered the lower half of his face, possibly with a white shirt, approached the teller, and verbally demanded currency, according to police.
When the victim teller complied with the subject’s demands by turning over an undisclosed amount of US currency, the subject fled the scene.
