AMVETS Chapter Seeks New Members

As one of America’s leading veterans service organizations with more than 250,000 members, AMVETS has a proud history of assisting veterans and sponsoring numerous programs that serve the country and its citizens. Membership in AMVETS is open to anyone who honorably served, or is currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, including the National Guard and Reserves.

The AMVETS North Shore Memorial Post 21 was created to serve military veterans living on Long Island’s North Shore and beyond.

The post will observe Veterans Day on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 10:45 a.m. with a ceremony at the Oyster Bay Band Stand. Visit for more information about the national organization or visit Post 21’s Facebook page (@AMVETSnorthshorePost21) for details.
