Susie Gách Peelle was born in Budapest, Hungary. The granddaughter of eminent WWI memorial sculptor Stephen Gách and international sculptor/painter George Gách. Her lengthy career in Fine Art includes an MFA degree as well as attending the Art Students League in New York, the National Academy of Fine Art in New York and Kokoschka School in Salzburg, Austria.

“I paint many en plein air pictures in oil during the summer; the beach is a frequent theme,” said Peelle. “I typically do three to four small pieces on such an occasion. Eventually, and at times, children will come to look and if they express approval, I know I have done a decent job.”

The cover of Summertime!, titled “Beach Frolic,” was done at Jones Beach on July 19, 2015. It is an 8×10-inch oil on board.

Peelle’s prolific works in diverse theme include portraits, the figure, animals, landscapes, still life, abstractions, and media in oil, acrylic, lead, conte, pen and ink, watercolor, gouache, casein, egg tempera, glass fusion, pastel, printmaking, mosaics, painting on silk and ceramics. Her digital art sculpture and photography have also been published and televised. Peelle is the mother of four sons and a grandmother of eight.
