On Tuesday, July 1, Beast of the East Productions will be hosting a screening of the movie A Life For a Life from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Quad Cinema on 34 W. 13th St. as part of the Manhattan Film Festival.

The film revolves around life’s unpredictability particularly in the sudden tragedy of gun violence. The story revolves around a young boy witnessing his mother getting shot and years later stumbling upon the killer, a cop, who’s a doting family man. With a gun in his hand, will the boy make the easy choice of revenge or the difficult choice of justice? Or will it be somewhere in between where most truths live.
