The Nassau County SPCA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for placing seven dead pit bulls in a New York State Department of Transportation sump located at Dietz Street and South Franklin Street, in Hempstead. Four female dogs, two males and a 3-month-old puppy were found yesterday, Sept. 12.
The Nassau County SPCA believes someone placed the dogs there. The organization is determined to use every available tool to ensure the abuser(s) face the maximum penalty under the law.

To date, the Nassau County SPCA has given out $5,000 in rewards.
