The Nassau County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for abandoning a dog at the doorstep of a Freeport animal shelter in a duffel bag around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9.
The 3-month-old dog now know as Cooper, was emaciated, hypothermic and suffering from multiple wounds when it was brought to Bobbi and the Strays shelter.

The Nassau County SPCA is offering this reward as it feels someone knows who left this voiceless creature in a deplorable condition. We feel that it is necessary to use every available tool in fighting animal cruelty to ensure that the abusers face the maximum penalty under the law.
