Amelia “Emily” Tricoukes, 93, was born on Jan. 16, 1923, and passed away on Sunday, March 27.

Amelia was a resident of Seaford, and previously of Elmont where she served as the past post commander of American Legion Post 1033, the post’s first woman commander.

Visitation will be held at Charles Schmitt Funeral Home, 3863 Merrick Rd., in Seaford, on Tuesday, March 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. American Legion service will be held at the funeral home on March 29 at 7 p.m. Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Field Ave., in Hicksville on Wednesday, March 30, at 10 a.m. with interment at Grace Church Cemetery in Hicksville.
