Sen. Jack Martins (R)
Senator Jack M. Martins has earned a reputation as a leader who works in a bipartisan manner to deliver results. Martins has repeatedly voted to cut taxes for families, lower business costs to create jobs, increase investment in education and infrastructure, and control state spending through improved efficiencies, all without raising taxes. He fought against the failed common core rollout, protected children’s privacy, and authored new laws to combat Long Island’s growing heroin epidemic. He also fights vigorously to protect our environment and works with local officials to improve our quality of life. Prior to becoming a senator, Jack served eight years as mayor of Mineola. Senator Martins and his wife are the proud parents of four daughters.
Candidate Adam Haber (D)
Adam Haber is a small business owner, school board member, father and husband who is tired of Albany politicians failing Nassau taxpayers. Haber is not a career politician. He is a concerned Nassau resident who wants to serve his community in Albany as he has for years on the Roslyn School Board. As a Senator, Haber will use his business experience to eliminate wasteful spending, create jobs and ease the property tax burden that is crushing Nassau residents.He will pass the Women’s Equality Act and ensure our schools get the resources they deserve. Adam lives in Roslyn with his wife, Renee, and their two children.
