The county’s 6th Annual “Cruise to the Show” Parade and Car Show was held on Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27.

Following an exclusive MOPAR/JEEP show, a live concert was held at Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre, featuring John Mueller’s Winter Dance Party, a tribute to Buddy Holly.

On Sunday, the seven-mile parade kicked off at Briarcliff College, parading down Hempstead Turnpike, to Eisenhower Park. Immediately following the parade, the car show opened, featuring more than 2,000 automobiles, trucks, military vehicles and emergency service vehicles on display.

Many of Long Island’s race, performance and restoration shops were in attendance.

Special guests included Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster) and Pat Priest (Marilyn Munster) from the hit American television sitcom The Munsters, as well as Claudia Wells (Jennifer Parker, Marty McFly’s girlfriend) from the movie Back to the Future. On display, courtesy of the Autoseum, was Herbie the Love Bug, Knight Rider, Dragula and the 1966 Batmobile.
