In accordance with its instrument drive, the Manilow Music Project (MMP) will donate a Yamaha piano to the Uniondale School District on behalf of legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow. The piano will be donated at the conclusion of Manilow’s “One Last Time! Tour,” which will take place at the Nassau Coliseum on March 27. The instrument drive is accepting donations at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum Box Office leading up to the event.
People who donate a new or gently used musical instrument will receive two free tickets for Manilow’s March 27 concert in Uniondale. The instrument drive aims to bring quality musical instruments and music education to schools such as Uniondale. Manilow hopes this donation will inspire more.

“Music is a vital part of a child’s education,” said Barry Manilow. “I am proud to help bring excellent music education to these kids and hope others will follow in my footsteps.”
The drop-off location for the instrument drive is located at the Nassau Coliseum box office from now through March 27. The office is open from Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Uniondale officials applauded the generous donation and look forward to receiving more musical instruments from this drive.
“We are honored to receive Barry Manilow’s generous donation to the instrument drive,” said Dr. William K. Lloyd, superintendent of the Uniondale School District. “We hope this will encourage more donations and bring music to Uniondale schools to help our students build character to achieve success.”
